I loved the first part of our homework where we made all kinds of lines, patterns, and repetitive marks. I already use a lot of these elements in my art.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.daynajcollins.com\/curele\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG_5184.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-929 aligncenter\" alt=\"???????????????????????????????\" src=\"http:\/\/www.daynajcollins.com\/curele\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG_5184-300x193.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"193\" \/><\/a>But when I went to create three pieces emphasizing these elements, I stumbled and fell. I struggled with incorporating a variety of marks, lines, circles, along with color, into some sort of cohesive composition.<\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t finish any of the three pieces I was working on.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll share a snippet of one &#8211; just the top half.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.daynajcollins.com\/curele\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG_5187.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-930 aligncenter\" alt=\"???????????????????????????????\" src=\"http:\/\/www.daynajcollins.com\/curele\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG_5187-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a>This piece has the most potential if I decide to go back in and work on it some more.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.daynajcollins.com\/curele\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG_5188.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-927 aligncenter\" alt=\"???????????????????????????????\" src=\"http:\/\/www.daynajcollins.com\/curele\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG_5188-238x300.jpg\" width=\"238\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>What I learned is that using pattern, scale, lines, circles, and various marks make a composition interesting.
